To my little man

Just recently I read a friends blog about her son. She wrote in her post a short letter for her son and it inspired me to do the same.

My little Enoch,
While you were growing in my belly I felt an instant connection to you. I wanted so badly to hold you in my arms. The day finally came and it was a day I will never forget. We were not expecting you that soon but I guess it was your time to enter into this life! You have been such a blessing to me and your daddy. You are such a sweet boy with a big heart. I can't believe how fast you are growing. I love to watch you grow. During the past few months, you have began to amaze me with all the knowledge you have. You are like a little sponge that soaks up everything. You learn more and more each day. Elmo is your most favorite character and you can never get tired of watching him on tv. Mommy reads to you a lot and you always let me know when you want to read a book with me. Sometimes, you'd rather read on your own. Although you are very active and are growing out of your "cuddling" stage, I always cherish those moments when I have the opportunity to hold, hug, and snuggle with you. You LOVE going places with mommy and seeing everything. You love to dance and jump all over the place.

When people meet you they can't help but fall in love with you. You are just a sweet little child. You care so much about your family especially grandparents who give you anything you want. At times when you seem to get mad and throw and hit, I know you don't mean it, you're just trying to communicate what you want/need to me. We sometimes end up in time out but you are always quick to say sorry and give me hugs afterwards.

When I look at you, I know there will be a bright future ahead of you. You can do anything if you put your mind to it. Follow your dreams and never let anyone get you down. There will be so many opportunities open to you.
You are an absolute joy! I fell in love with you the second they let me hold you for the first time in the hospital. It was such a tender moment.
You are expecting a new baby sister here pretty soon and although you may not understand really what's going on, I know that you will be a great big brother to her. She will look up to you and will know you will always be there to protect her.
I love you son.
Your daddy and I will always be with you. Thank you for coming into our lives and changing our lives completely <3

First day home from the hospital.
